New Balance
Over the course of a full year, Katz documented the construction of the Track at New Balance, a superlative resource for track and field athletes, from fitness fanatics to those working towards the summer games. The new Boston Landing Track & Field complex features a 200 meter hydraulically banked track, seating for over 5,000 cheering fans, plus uncompromising facilities for training, events, and recovery. Ground floor retail rounds out Boston’s destination location for athlete endeavors, including a 3,500 seat music venue called Roadrunner.
As a licensed drone pilot, Katz used aerial footage to track outdoor progress and filmed key moments indoors for a documentary on the build.
